Gladwell Orthodontics Heritage Junction Invisalign Studio

In September 2020, Gladwell Orthodontics of Wake Forest opened a second location. They recently opened their Heritage Junction Invisalign Studio in which you can walk in and see what your smile will look like after Invisalign treatment with Dr. Gladwell and his team. What is great about this location is it is offering weekend hours on top of the weekday hours.

If you do not want to drive to Crabtree Valley Mall or Southpoint Mall to go to one of Gladwell Orthodontics Invisalign Scan Centers you can stay right here in Wake Forest and hop on over to their Heritage Junction Invisalign Studio. After you check out their amazing new place you can grab a bite to eat at First Watch and go shopping at Lily Mae’s.

For those wondering, the studio has the following “office hours”

  • Monday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am to 2:00pm

You may even get to see the InvisaLion sometime. You know, the adorable Gladwell Orthodontics mascot.

Best Pest Control Service in Wake Forest and Raleigh

If you are one of the many thousands of people moving to the Wake Forest area, you may not realize just how common “bug problems” are. If you are relocating from the northeast or southwest, you likely didn’t have to deal with termites, bed bugs and hornet’s nests. Unfortunately, one of the biggest parts of homeownership during the summer months in Wake Forest and Raleigh is controlling pests. It is not the case that you have to be concerned with every single bug, beetle or bee, but they can cause concerns down the road.

One thing that is imperative in Wake Forest and Raleigh is to find a reliable and professional pest control company. When it comes to Raleigh area pest control companies you should look no further than Cleggs. Cleggs has ben around since 1965. This means they have seen any and all types of bugs, beetles or termites. In fact, you may want to use their blog to learn more about Bugs in North Carolina.

Even if you are not concerned with termites or bed bugs, remember that pets are common in this part of the country. If you have an outside cat or dog, it is very likely they will get fleas at one time or another. Cleggs Pest Control can help isolate and destroy any flea infestation you have in your home. This is something you will want to address early rather than waiting until it has gotten out of control. Some people will think to buy a “flea bomb” at WalMart, Home Depot or Lowes but you cannot be 100% confident this is going to work. If it doesn’t work, your animals are going to continue to be stressed because of the fleas.

If you happen to be moving to Wake Forest in late 2018 or early 2019, we strong encourage you to contact Cleggs before you make your move. Many HOA’s will suggest a pest control company but none of these companies will offer better service and a better product than Cleggs.

Chris Leith Dodge Ram on Capital Boulevard

Having driven Capital Boulevard over the last 20 years, it is easy to remember when the car dealerships were below 540. All the major “players” in the automotive industry were south of Triangle Town Center and those that lived in Wake Forest had to drive down to Raleigh to look at new and used cars. Things are much different in 2018. Not only are most car dealerships north of 540, there are quite a few in Wake Forest.

As you are driving north, one of the major intersections in Wake Forest is Capital Boulevard (US 1) and Falls of Neuse which turns into South Main Street on the Wake Forest side of US 1. At this intersection, there is a newer Chris Leith Dodge Ram dealership. This is a dealership that has “popped up” in the last decade. Those that used to take US 1 to Franklinton or Henderson can remember when this intersection was basically empty.

If you are looking for a new or used Dodge or Ram truck there are a number of options within two hours of Wake Forest. Before assuming Chris Leith is your only option, remember there are a few other great dealerships that you can make in a single day. One of my very good friends had a great experience at Performance CDJR in Clinton. While Clinton, North Carolina is not exactly next door to Wake Forest, it is not a multi day trip. If you know you can save money by traveling for a Dodge or Ram, it would be smart to do so.

If you are planning on using your tax return to buy a Ram truck or Dodge Charger we suggest shopping around at multiple Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram locations. There is no reason to be set on only shopping at Chris Leith Dodge Ram simply because it is the closest to you. Head down into Raleigh and look at some of your options. It doesn’t hurt to call the dealerships in Greensboro and Charlotte as well. If you can save $1000 or $2000 on a new or used car/truck purchase, it is worth the day trip. You will not spend $2000 in gas, I promise.

Lily Mae’s Review

I consider myself a shopaholic, especially when it comes to cute boutiques. So when I found Lily Mae’s I was thrilled.

Lily Mae’s is a local owned boutique located in The Factory of Wake Forest. While there are a lot of boutiques in our area, none can compare. They have everything. From clothes and shoes to baby and home goods. I personally do not like to go all the way to the mall and this is a perfect store to get everything I need without venturing out. The prices tend to be on the higher side but the quality of their clothes reflects the price.

The staff is really helpful at picking out gifts and suggesting outfits too. The manager Sandra is so personable and helpful. Plus, they sell things like Alex and Ani and Pandora, and have as good if not better of a selection than the mall. Overall, this is my go to shop for clothes and gifts in the Wake Forest/Raleigh area.

Triangle Pediatric Dentistry review

Before we dive into my review of Triangle Pediatrics let me start with some background. I have two children, aged 5 and 7. We have been going to Triangle Pediatrics for a little over a year now. We also go to the Garner, NC dentist Dr. Adam Moore.

First off, I cannot tell you how great Dr. Buddy and Dr. Porter are with my two boys. So friendly, amazing with children and so patient. Both of my boys are very skeptical when it comes to doctor visits and we have been to three different pediatric dentists before finding this one and I am so glad we did! I can now take them to get teeth cleanings and checkups without having to anticipate a meltdown.

Secondly, since I’ve become a mom although I hate to admit it, I’ve become a total germaphobe. I’m constantly looking for things that might be a cause for alarm ESPECIALLY when it comes to things involving my children. The office is clean and professional. They recently renovated too making it even better.

Overall, the staff is awesome, the atmosphere is great, and my kids love it. Ultimately making me one happy mamma. I would absolutely recommend for anyone with kids in the Wake Forest/North Raleigh area.

Gladwell Orthodontics Invisalign Review

Gladwell Orthodontics is a name that is synonymous with Wake Forest, North Carolina. For years, Dr. Jason Gladwell has worked very hard to build his practice in the northern part of Wake County. Whether you go to Wake Forest High School football games or drive down Highway 98 in the morning, you have likely seen the GO logo for Gladwell Orthodontics.

Dr. Jason Gladwell is one of the only Super Elite Invisalign providers in the entire state of North Carolina. This means he has worked with thousands of patients with the “invisible aligners” method of straightening teeth. In 2017 and beyond, there is a strong likelihood that many dentists and orthodontists in Wake County and throughout the Triangle are going to attempt to push Invisalign as a treatment alternative to braces. Unfortunately, these dentists and orthodontists simply don’t have the experience of Dr. Gladwell and his staff.

When going into Dr. Gladwell’s very modern office, you will find there is a Charity Coffee Shop, a video arcade and the opportunity to use their wifi. This is all before you actually get into the true office. The staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Gladwell takes the time and effort to allow you to understand your options from metal braces to Invisalign.

While Dr. Gladwell is North Carolina’s Invisalign expert, he does understand that not all patients will want the clear aligners. If you are seeking metal braces or clear braces, there are options available. If you have any specific recommendations, Dr. Gladwell is always willing to take your thoughts into consideration.

Another great thing about Gladwell Orthodontics is the location. The office is located very close to The Factory in Wake Forest. This means your children will have the opportunity to go ice skating, to a party or simply shop around for some trinkets or toys.

If you are looking for specific shoppes or stores in the factory, do not hesitate to reach out to us as we have a thorough understanding of the options available in The Factory. We will likely write some reviews and articles explaining what shoppes and boutiques are open on a daily basis in The Factory.

Hasentree Member Guest Tournament Review

The last Hasentree Classic Member-Guest tournament on bentgrass greens has concluded. Any future tournaments at Hasentree will be with the new Championship Bermuda greens that will be reconstructed over the summer. The 2017 Hasentree Classic was a success and anyone that has the opportunity to play in a Hasentree tournament in the future should do so.

It is hard to deny that Hasentree is one of the best private country clubs in all of North Carolina. With brand new greens coming in later this year many have debated if the course will get a CGA Tournament in 2018 or beyond. Only time will tell.

The 2017 Hasentree Classic Member-Guest started with a practice round on Thursday followed by a closest to the pin chipping contest and a putting contest. Members and guests were also encouraged to pick out their TaylorMade gift from the TaylorMade tent.

Friday morning included three (3) nine hole matches within 10 different flights. Even though there were 60 teams on the course, the pace of play was not horrendous. As to be expected with any tournament, pace of play was not fast, but it was not at a standstill for the entire day.

Saturday was the finale of the Hasentree Classic with two (2) nine hole matches and the four hole playoff to determine the Grand Champion. The entire event ended around 5:00 pm.

The Champions Dinner started around 7:00 pm. If you are the type of golfer that likes major events that conclude in a very fancy dinner, the Hasentree Classic is the right tournament for you. It is important to note that the food and beverage was included in the cost of the tournament ($900).

All Calcutta bets were separate from the cost of the tournament. As is policy with almost every single country club in America, the pro staff and employees of the course did not encourage any type of betting amongst the participants.

Once again, if you are looking to enjoy a great member guest tournament in Wake Forest, North Carolina, this is the one to partake in. Note that it is not easy to get into this tournament as the members have to get on a waiting list if they are not chosen for the event.

Heritage Golf Course Review

Heritage is much more than a golf course. It is an entire community and may eventually be its own little town. That said, this review is strictly for the golf course and the experience while on the golf course.

Heritage is a semi private golf course that increases rates on the weekend in an attempt to reduce play from non members. One of my biggest issues with this course is the amount of play it gets. In all reality, the course we benefit by going completely private but that is unlikely to happen.

If you play with a member during the week you can get on the course for around $45. I think it is $60 if you don’t have a member to play with. If you plan on playing on the weekends you are going to drop about $100. If you have the opportunity, it would be better to play with a member at Hasentree for that price.

The course is not nearly as difficult as Hasentree but the par 5s do play longer. The par 3s are shorter and the par 4s are about the same. If you are a good wedge player, you should be able to play well at Heritage. Remember, Heritage has newer Championship Bermuda greens but that have softened up a bit over the last few years. That said, they still putt very differently than bentgrass greens.

You may also find that as a low ball player you struggle at Heritage. Heritage promotes a lot of high ball shots; especially with Championship Bermuda greens. Keep this in mind before dropping $100 to go out and get your butt kicked in on a Saturday or Sunday.

The course is a very nice course for a public course. In fact, I would rate this as the #1 public course in Wake Forest and a top 5 in all of the Triangle. Other public courses that would be comparable are Lonnie Poole (NC State), UNC Finley and Duke’s course. Other than the university courses, there aren’t many public courses in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area that stack up to Heritage.

Unless you are a single digit handicapper, I would suggest playing the black tees which are the middle tees. If you are feeling frisky, you can play the blue tees which end up being one up from the tips. If you are a bomber, go back to the tips and see how the course treats you.

One of the great things about the Heritage Golf Course is there is always a beverage cart girl. I have never played the course and not seen one. This means you don’t have to worry about bringing your own snacks or drinks. You will also be able to grab something before the turn or after your round.

If you plan to play this course in under four hours, you are fooling yourself. Pace of play is always an issue at Heritage as there are tons of women’s groups that walk the course in the morning. While there is always a ranger, there isn’t much they can do when you have five groups of walking women.

Overall, this is a great course if you can only play public golf in Wake Forest or the Triangle. If you are in the Wake Forest area, the best option will always be Hasentree.
